At Eloquent Hair we choose only premium quality hair that has been tested and undergone rigorous inspection. All of our hair is cuticle correct (cuticles running in the same direction) which minimizes tangling and matting.
Even though we use the highest quality methods that does not reduce the importance of proper maintenance. Since all of our hair is of human origin, it will act and behave as human hair does which means that it is not resistant to weather conditions. For instance, curly hair can poise a few more maintenance issue than straight. Here is some information on handling the different hair textures properly.
It is a good idea to only use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners that do not contain alcohol. For the curly hair textures we suggest minimizing the use of harsh shampoos and instead use a moisturizing conditioner to wash the hair (i.e. a conditioner wash) where you use conditioner instead of shampoo.
We suggest a deep conditioning treatment, this is where you apply a conditioner to the hair and use heat. Deep conditioning treatments with heat opens up the cuticles of the hair, thus allowing the conditioner to go deep within the strands. Please cover the hair in saran wrap, or place in a plastic bag as the hair will need to be completely covered for it to work. You can also skip the heat and allow the conditioner to penetrate the hair overnight while covered in the saran wrap or plastic bag.
Rinse With Cold Water
Once you rinse out the conditioner make sure to use cold water which will help close the cuticles allowing the hair to absorb all of the conditioner. (This can also be done when you are washing out a regular conditioner also.)
*Eloquent Hair Curly Textures Additional Information
We do not suggest that the curly hair textures be flat ironed, pressed or modified from it's orginal state, as this will cause the curl pattern to loosen. If you would prefer a straight hair texture then please choose one of our many naturally straight human hair half wigs.
Frequent combing of the curly textures is not advised, instead opt for finger combing/styling when possible.
-Use only wide tooth combs and only comb when the hair is wet with conditioner.
-Comb starting from the ends of the hair to root and be very gentle.
-Running a fine tooth/small comb through the curly hair or combing the hair from root to ends will cause strain on the wefts and eventually loosen the hair resulting in hair fall.
-As with normal human hair some hair fall will occur, to help alleviate this issue then you can seal the wefts using a weft sealer. This is especially helpful if you will be combing the hair a lot.
